Machli ka Salan Recipe

Ingredients

  • Fish 1 kg
  • Salt 2 tsp
  • Vinegar 2 tbsp
  • Oil
  • Onions – Pyaz 1/2 kg sliced
  • Ginger Garlic Paste – Lassan Adarak Paste 2 tbsp
  • Salt Namak – 1 tsp
  • Red Pepper – Surk Mirch 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric – Haldi 1 tsp
  • Coriander Powder – Pesa wa Dhaniya 1 tsp
  • Cumin – Safaid Zeera 1/2 tsp
  • Black Pepper – Sabit Kali Mirch 7 pieces
  • Cloves – Laung 4 pieces
  • Black Cardamom – Bari Elachi 2 pieces
  • Green Cardamom – Choti Elachi 4 pieces
  • Bay Leaves – Taiz Patta 2 pieces
  • Yogurt – Dahi 1/3 kg
  • Garam Masala 1 tsp
  • Hara Dhaniya – As Per Use

How to Make Fish Curry

The first step is to take one kg Fish, add two tsp Salt, and two tbsp Vinegar. Mix it well and leave it for the next four hours.

After the four hour passes, start preparing the curry for the fish. The first would be to take one small cup of Oil, add 1/2 kg sliced Onions – Pyaz, and fry it till the onions get brownish. Once it gets brownish, take out the fried owns in a separate dish, and use the same oil which was used to fried onions to fry the fish after four hours.

Use the Same Oil

Once the fish is fried, take out the fish and keep it aside. Again, we have to use the same oil (fried fish, and onions) and add two tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste – Lassan Adarak Paste in it. Further add one tsp Salt – Namak, one tbsp Red Pepper – Surk Mirch, one tsp Turmeric – Haldi, 1 tsp, and one tsp Coriander Powder – Pesa wa Dhaniya.

Now take a separate plate, add Safaid Zeera – Cumin 1/2 tsp, Black Pepper – Sabit Kali Mirch 7 pieces, Cloves – Laung 4 pieces. Furthermore add Black Cardamom – Bari Elachi 2 pieces, Green Cardamom Choti Elachi 3 pieces, and Ray Leaves – Taiz Patta 2 pieces in it.

Blender and It’s Done

Now you need a blender for the next step. Add Dahi Yogurt 1/3 kg, fried onions prepared earlier, and add in the blender. Mix it, and blend it to prepare its mixture. When the mixture is prepared add the mixture to the Curry which is being prepared in the previous step.

Now add the fried fish which was prepared earlier and add it in the curry and cook it for 2, 3 minutes. Add Garam Masala 1 tsp, and Hara Dhaniya as peruse.
