Aloo Gosht Recipe

Ingredients

  • Mutton ½ kg
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Namak – Salt 2 tsp
  • Pyaz – Onions 2 chopped pieces
  • Lassan Adrak Paste – Ginger Garlic Paste 2 tbsp
  • Laal Mirch – Red Pepper 2 tsp
  • Haldi – Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Pesa Dhaniya – Coriander Powder 2 tsp
  • Zeera – Cumin 1 tsp
  • Kali Mirch – Black Pepper 1 tsp
  • Choti Elachi – Green Cardamom 4 pieces
  • Bari Elachi – Black Cardamom 2 pieces
  • Laung – Cloves 4 pieces
  • Taiz Pata – Bay Leaves 2 pieces
  • Paani – Water 2 cups
  • Tomato Paste – 2 pieces
  • Dahi – Yogurt 1/8 kg
  • Aloo – Potatoes Sliced as per-use
  • Hari Mirchain – Green Chillies 4 pieces
  • Garam Masala 1 tsp

Let’s Start Cooking

The first thing you need to prepare the curry. Add Oil 1 cup, Namak – Salt 2 tsp, Mutton ½ kg, in a pressure cooker and cook at normal heat. Now add Pyaz – Onions 2 chopped pieces, Lassan Adrak Paste – Ginger Garlic Paste 2 tbsp and mix it well.

Spice it Up

Now eventually you need to add Laal Mirch – Red Pepper 2 tsp, Haldi – Turmeric 1 tsp, Pesa Dhaniya – Coriander Powder 2 tsp, and Zeera – Cumin 1 tsp. Mix it well and allow all the spices to blend within. Further add Kali Mirch – Black Pepper 1 tsp, Choti Elachi 4 pieces Bari Elachi 2 pieces – Cardamom, Laung – Cloves 4 pieces and Teez Pata – Bay Leaves 2 pieces in it.

Curry Lover?

If you are fond of curry, you can add more than Paani – Water 2 cups but we only used two standard cups in our Aloo Gosht Recipe. Mix it well and then cover it using the pressure cooker for some time. After 5-10 minutes, uncover the pressure cooker and mix it well. Sliced Potatoes

Now add Tomato Paste – 2 pieces, Dahi – Yogurt 1/8 kg, and cook it. On the other side, you need Aloo – Potatoes Sliced as per-use, and add these sliced potatoes in the pressure cooker. If you feel the curry isn’t enough just like the way we felt, we added a little more water. So you can add water if you want. (optional)

Here come the final touches, add Hari Mirchain – Green Chillies 4 pieces, Poodina for presentation, and Garam Masala 1 tsp and mix it well.
