Gol Gappay Recipe

Below is the list of ingredients of all the mixtures that we have used in this recipe. Mixtures include garnishing, chutneys, and preparation of Gol Gappa pappar itself.
Ingredients Gol Gappay
- Suji – Semolina 1 cup
- Maida – Flour 2 tbsp
- Metha Soda – Baking Soda 1/8 tsp
- Warm water to knead
Ingredients Khata Pani/ Imli Chatni
- Tamarind pulp ½ cup
- Salt ½ tsp
- Surk Mirch – Red chilli powder ½ tsp
- Chaat Masala ½ tsp
- Kala Namak – Black Salt ½ tsp
- Bhuna Safaid Zeera – Roasted Cumin Seed ½ tsp
- Water to taste to make Khatta Pani
- Pudina – Mint Leaves
Ingredients Raita Chatni
- Yogurt – Dahi 1/2 cup
- Sugar 1 tsp
- Chaat Masala 1 tsp
- Namak – Salt 1/2 tsp
- Bhuna Safaid Zeera – Roasted Cumin Seed ½ tsp
Ingredients Green Chatni
- Coriander to taste
- Mint leaves to taste
- Garlic 1 clove
- Green Chillies 2
- Salt ½ tsp
- Cumin ½ tsp
Ingredients Gol Gappay Garnishing Mixture
- Aloo – Potatoes ½ cup boiled and chopped
- Boondi ½ cup
- Pyaaz – Onions 2 tbsp chopped
- Hara Dhaniya – Green Coriander as peruse
- Chaat Masala ½ tsp
- Surk Mirch – Red Chilli Powder ½ tsp
- Namak – Salt ½ tsp
- Boiled Channy- Chickpea to taste

Prepare Khatta Pani/ Imli Chatni
Take Tamarind pulp ½ cup in a bowl. Add Salt ½ tsp, Surk Mirch – Red chilli powder ½ tsp. Now add Chaat Masala ½ tsp in it. Mix it then add Kala Namak – Black Salt ½ tsp and Bhuna Safaid Zeera – Roasted Cumin Seed ½ tsp. Further, add Water to taste to make Khatta Pani. In the end, put some Poodina – Mint Leaves in it.

Prepare Raita Chatni
You need Yogurt – Dahi 1/2 cup in a bowl. Now add Sugar 1 tsp and Chaat Masala 1 tsp. After that, you need to add Namak – Salt 1/2 tsp and Bhuna Safaid Zeera – Roasted Cumin Seed ½ tsp. Mix it well.
Prepare Green Chatni
Put some Coriander to taste and Mint leaves to taste in a blender. Add Garlic 1 clove, Green chilies 2, Salt ½ tsp, and Cumin ½ tsp in a blender too. Add some water. Blend properly and Green Chatni is ready. Prepare Garnishing Mixture
Take boiled Aloo – Potatoes ½ cup boiled and chopped and add Boondi ½ cup. Now add Pyaaz – Onions 2 tbsp chopped and Hara Dhaniya – Green Coriander as per-use. Now add Chaat Masala ½ tsp and Surk Mirch – Red Chilli Powder ½ tsp. Add Namak – Salt ½ tsp and Boiled Channy- Chickpea to taste. Mix well and the mixture is ready
Making of Gol Gappy
Take some Suji – Semolina 1 cup. Put Maida – Flour 2 tbsp too in it. Add now Metha Soda – Baking Soda 1/8 tsp. Mix well and add warm water to knead. Cover it with a wet cloth over and leave for half an hour. Make a thin roti from the dough. Then make small shape circles roti.
Fry these small roti shaped into the hot oil. Fry till golden brown in color it will turn into Golgappa. Strain them out. Fill Gol Gappay with the prepared mixture. Add Dahi chatni and green Chatni over it. Filled this Gol Gappay complete into the Khatta Pani/ Imli Chatni by dipping into it to serve.
